Troubleshooting Faulty RAM

Random PC shutdowns can have several possible causes, including faulty or unstable RAM.

One way to test the RAM is by using MemTest86+.

First, create a bootable USB drive with MemTest86+. Then boot the PC from the USB drive and run the memory test.

If the test result shows PASS with no errors, it indicates that the RAM did not show any errors during the test.

However, MemTest86+ may require Secure Boot to be disabled before it can run.

This can be inconvenient because some newer games, such as Battlefield 6, may require Secure Boot to be enabled.

After completing the test, Secure Boot can be enabled again in the BIOS. Alternatively, MemTest86 can be used, as it supports Secure Boot on compatible systems and may not require it to be disabled.
